Free Shaping a Dog: Final Behavior

You might think "This is cute, but why would I teach my dog something like this?" And to that I say -it's not WHAT you teach your dog, it's the ACT of LEARNING that is vital! Continuing to learn new things throughout life, even if you don't think you'll ever use that information, is a great way to keep the mind sharp.

Plus, shaping behaviors helps dogs improve their problem solving skills, which tends to help them be better at coping with stress/when things don't go their way. I'm going to go out on a limb here and assume those are things you do want your dog to be good at, right? :p
